Parakeelya Architecture and Construction Management (PACM) are committed to providing a productive workplace, free from risks to health and safety, through ensuring compliance with all relevant WHS/OHS Legislation in accordance with ISO 45001 OHS Management Systems.
PACM will provide a safe working environment for all people involved in our operations through the following measures, so far as is reasonably practicable:
- Establish measurable safety objectives and targets, aimed at the elimination of work-related injuries or illness;
- Promote a ‘No blame’ culture to encourage all workers to identify and report issues that may affect the safety or wellbeing of themselves and others on site, without fear of punishment or penalty;
- Ensure personnel are consulted on matters relating to their health and safety in the workplace and participate in identifying and assessing hazards and risks and implementing appropriate control measures to eliminate or reduce exposure to hazards and risks;
- Identify, assess and reduce WHS/OHS risks and make personnel aware of the risks and control measures that are in place to eliminate or minimise hazards;
- Ensure the safe handling and use of hazardous substances;
- Inspect and maintain plant and equipment on a regular basis;
- Develop and implement training programs to promote participation and awareness of health and safety matters;
- Plan for emergencies and provide clear and safe instruction on how to act in the event of an emergency;
- Inform, instruct and supervise to ensure work is being performed in accordance with procedures, identified control measures and industry best practices to reduce workplace accidents and incidents;
- Prevent bullying, harassment, and discrimination in the workplace;
- Regularly review, monitor, and assess safety measures according to changes in the worksite, environment, regulations, or customer requirements to continually improve our Integrated Management System (IMS) to reduce the exposure to risks to health and safety.
