Our Corporate Sustainability

We are focused on growing our business responsibly

Sustainability at PACM is about ensuring our business is managed to take account of social, environmental and economic risks and opportunities.

By taking these factors into consideration across all areas of our business, we can create and preserve value for customers, shareholders, our people, the environment, and the communities in which we operate.

Our approach

Our approach is guided by our sustainability framework.

Sustainability at PACM is about ensuring our business is managed to take account of social, environmental and economic risks and opportunities. By taking these factors into consideration across all areas of our business, we can create and preserve value for customers, shareholders, our people, the environment and the communities in which we operate.

Sustainability framework

Our sustainability framework supports our business strategy, reflects our most material issues and is aligned with our purpose.

Materiality

We undertake a materiality review annually, engaging with our stakeholders to ensure our framework, commitments and reporting continue to reflect the highest priority issues facing our business and the communities in which we operate.

Stakeholder engagement

Effective engagement with our stakeholders is an important part of our business and is embedded into PACM’s policies, processes and operations.

Policies and standards

Our employee Code of Conduct applies to everyone who works at PACM, including employees, contractors and consultants. The Code is supported by a number of more detailed policies that form part of the Conduct and Ethics Policy Framework which covers issues such as anti-bribery, fraud and corruption, equal opportunity, bullying and harassment, conflicts of interest and work expenses.

Governance and risk management

Effective governance and robust risk management policies and procedures are the foundation for achieving our strategy. Together with the application of our values, they support the delivery of responsible, ethical and sustainable business outcomes.

Our sustainability framework supports our business strategy, reflects our most material issues and is aligned with our purpose.

At the core of our framework is fair and responsible delivery – keeping pace with the expectations of our customers, employees and the community, behaving fairly and responsibly and maintaining high standards of conduct.

Our three priority areas are:

  • Environmental sustainability – supporting business and financial practices that improve environmental sustainability.
  • Delivery – improving the efficiency of HOTO to better our client’s expectations.
  • Financial wellbeing – improving the financial wellbeing of our clients, employees, and the community by delivering cost-effective projects.

Workplace Participation & Diversity

We believe in the inherent strength of a vibrant, diverse and inclusive workforce where the backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people help us to forge strong connections with our customers, to innovate and make better decisions for our business.

We strive to ensure that our workforce reflects the diversity of our customers and markets, and harnesses the unique talents, perspectives, and experiences of all our people.  Through creating gender balanced and diverse leadership and teams, and a truly inclusive working environment, we are building an agile, outperforming organisation which actively leverages diversity to create competitive advantage.

Our approach to workplace participation and diversity is underpinned by a strong suite of people systems, processes and policies in relation to equal employment opportunity, bullying and harassment, flexible working, reasonable accommodation for staff with a disability, and parenting, eldercare, childcare and other caring responsibilities.

Environmental sustainability

We are focussing our efforts on energy, water and waste due to their relevance to the clients we work with and the markets in which we operate.

Our targets

We strive to continuously reduce the carbon and waste stamps in all our projects and in our daily lives. We strive to deliver alternatives that improve beneficial to the environment and the community.

Climate change

We support the goal of our government seeking to limit greenhouse gas emissions. In seeking to support the shift to a low carbon economy, we intend to do so in a way that provides new economic opportunities and helps people and communities thrive.

Environmental footprint

We measure and report our environmental impact across the markets in which we operate.  Our targets are focused on reducing the environmental impact of our operations through innovation and efficiency.
