Hazardous Area (HA) Electrical Works
The scope of works of this project involves remediation works to electrical equipment within hazardous areas (explosive atmospheres) at HMAS Cerberus, VIC.
Construction activities are to upgrade the existing non-compliant Hazardous Area electrical equipment.
To update existing site drawings and the Hazardous Area Verification Dossier (HVAD) where impacted by the scope of works. The following is a list of typical documentation that may require updating:
- Electrical drawings (single line diagrams, schematics diagrams, termination diagrams, panel layout diagrams).
- To update switchboard and distribution board schedules, including:
- Hazardous Area Verification Dossier (HAVD):
- Hazardous Area Classification Report
- Hazardous Area Classification Drawing
- Equipment manuals and certificates (for new and replacement electrical equipment)
- Equipment inspection check sheets (visual, close, detailed)
- Updated schematics supplying circuits into hazardous areas
- Hazardous area auditors report for the scope of work
Construction activities are to upgrade the existing non-compliant electrical equipment within the following buildings on site:
- A0049 Flammable Goods Store
- A0055 Flammable Goods Store
- A0070 Paint Store
- A0080 Mixed Gas Store
- A0081 Welding Workshop
- A0249 LPG Cylinder Storeage Cage
- A0480 Flammable Goods Store
